WELCOME TO MY CHALLENGE FOR THE TACKLE YOUR TBR READ-A-THON

I am so excited to be part of this.  Tressa @ Wishful Endings always does such a great job organizing this every year.  So, my challenge is.....

RANDOM PAGE AND PARAGRAPH CHALLENGE

For this challenge you can take any book, or the book you are reading and select a page and paragraph to share with the group.  Please don't give any thing away though.  Please leave the name of the book and the page you chose :).

You can either post on your blog and just leave a link in the comments or leave your page and paragraph in the comments...I will be using Rafflecopter to choose a winner.  What do you win??????

So, you MUST have a valid email address for me to send the gift to you.  The winner will be picked at the end of the TBR Read-a-Thon.  You MUST participate in the challenge to be considered.  The gift will be sent out 24-48 hours after the last day of the TBR RAT.

My Random Page AND Paragraph comes from:

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Page:  212

Paragraph:

Professor McGonagall:  Harry, are you sure this is the right decision?  Because far be it from me to doubt the wisdom of the centaurs, but Bane is an extremely angry centaur and...it's not beyond him to twist the constellations for his own ends.

Cannot wait to see what you all have to add to this challenge!

  4. My Random Paragraph comes from EVERBOUND by Brodi Ashton, Page 207:

"His face was so close to mine. His cheeks were bright with rushing blood underneath his skin. He was close enough that I imagined I could feel his connection to me. Feel the pull that was holding me fast to him. And for the first time, I realized that, for him, that connection would never break. Because I felt it."

  5. Newton and Polly: A Novel of Amazing Grace by Jody Hedlund, page 57:
"Even though years had passed since he'd been in school, he'd always found opportunities to continue educating himself. He hadn't admitted to his father how much he craved knowledge and how he regretted not working harder when he was in school. But he wondered if his father sensed it, because on each voyage his father happened to have a new book in his captain's cabin- once a volume of geography, another time mathematics, and yet another Latin. As far as Newton could tell, his father didn't read any of the books himself, but he also never said anything when Newton spirited the books away to read in secret."

  6. My paragraph is from Vicarious by Paula Stokes:

The bridge is falling apart, the wood rotting, the girders caked with rust. Boards groan under my feet as I pick my way forward. In front of me, Jesse steps carefully from one metal tie to the next. I try to copy him, praying the planks won't give out. I look back. Two cops are waiting at the entrance. They won't come out here, I think, turning back around. They're scared. And then I see a haze in front of us light up. Blue and red circles flit like ghosts in the fog.

  7. Deadline by Simon Kernick.

    Page 128

"And here he was, 15 years later, and still she was having an effect on him. The shock of seeing her that morning was wearing off as the operation to find Emma cranked rapidly into gear and the team focused on the hunt for the kidnapper, but Andrea still possessed that something Bolt had always found irresistible."
